Firm participates in Workforce Development Board JOB1 program

July 29, 2010

King, Krebs & Jurgens' office is filled with more than summer Associates, as the firm is a participant in the New Orleans Workforce Development Board's JOB1 Business & Career Solutions Summer Program. Arthur Bush, a junior at Southern University at New Orleans, is a part of the firm's summer staff through the program and has appreciated the new experiences he's had working in a law firm.

"After my first day of work I knew I'd made the right choice by choosing the firm as my work site. This environment really motivates me."

The JOB1 Summer Employment Program exposes young adults to meaningful career paths and "provides alternatives to negative influences that may exist," according to JOB1 literature. Arthur thinks it's an extremely worthwhile program, providing students with exposure to career fields they may not have considered or thought possible.

"This program has a strong mission and guidance system and has allowed me to network with many people, which is something I really enjoy."
