David A. Strauss Negotiates The First Mass Settlement of Hurricane Katrina

King, Krebs & Jurgens created a mechanism through which its client could settle numerous individual claims and a class action pending in federal court in an efficient and cost effective manner. This was the first settlement of its kind in Louisiana. The King Krebs & Jurgens model is now utilized by other insurer defendants with large numbers of Katrina related claims and has been embraced by the courts handling the consolidated litigation of thousands of these lawsuits.
